Finding Obituary Records in Connecticut Counties
Each Connecticut county contains towns that maintain their own vital records. Fairfield County and Hartford County are the most populous counties in Connecticut. New Haven County contains the city of New Haven, which has its own Bureau of Vital Statistics. For records before 1897, contact the Connecticut State Library or the specific town clerk where the death occurred.
